THE NEW DXO
CALIFORNIA SPEC

THE NEW DEVELOPED DIMLUX XTREME OUTPUT CALIFORNIA SPEC HPS 400V 1000/1250W DE EL

The only BULB in the world to meet the Horticultural Lighting Minimum Efficacy 2022 (2023) California Energy Code

The new 1000/1250W MKII DE EL UHF DXO California Spec is ready* for the 2022 (2023) California Energy Code that requires a minimum photosynthetic photon efficacy (PPE) of 2.1µMol/J for fixtures in indoor growing facilities with more then 1,000ft2 of canopy.

*To meet the new requirement the new DXO (Dimlux Xtreme Output) CaliSpec bulb needs to be used in combination with the Dimlux Expert 1000/1250W MKII

xtreme long-lasting
stays 95% PAR maintenance
after 10.000h operation!

The extremely high PAR output and high PAR maintenance provide the best in class grow light and set a new benchmark for all EL bulbs. The bulb produces light mostly in the orange/red part of the spectrum for heavy flowering however, it does produce some light in the blue part of the spectrum making it suitable for vegging.

By using the most efficient techniques and latest development, the DXO range has an extremely long life and 95% PAR maintenance after 10,000 burning hours.

The First Choice for
Professional Horticulturalists

Made for boost!

The new developed DXO California Spec HPS 400V 1000/1250W DE EL bulb is the best performing 400V EL bulb available. It’s the only bulb specifically designed for dimming AND boosting which results in the highest performance at boost without the PAR deprivation.  It’s targeted for professional horticulturalists in the commercial food growing industry, which is largely down to its ability to pile on weight during the bloom phase. The extremely high PAR output and high PAR maintenance provide the best in class grow light and set a new benchmark for 1000W 400V EL bulbs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The DXO California Spec HPS 400V 1000/1250W DE EL bulb is a single-spectrum bulb with the most plant-useable light output of just about any 1000 Watt lamp on the market. The bulb produces light mostly in the orange/red part of the spectrum for heavy flowering however, it does produce some light in the blue part of the spectrum making it suitable for vegging. It has been specifically designed to make the most of your HPS (400 Volt / 1000 Watt) electronic system with boost where it will produce more plant-useable light photons, of a better spectrum, than any other 1000 Watt bulb available.

The only fixture in the world to meet the Horticultural Lighting Minimum Efficacy 2022 (2023) California Energy Code

The new 1000/1250W MKII DXO CA fixture, fitted with our new DXO CA Spec lamp, is the only combination in the world to achieve a System Efficiency (PPE) greater than 2.1 µmol/J, an unprecedented feat that was once thought impossible . Most competing brands do not reach 1.8 µmol/J, and only a few reach 1.9 µmol/J.

  • Optimized red and orange spectrum and high PAR (Photosynthetic Active Radiation) to stimulate flower growth and improve fruiting,
  • The only lamp optimized for High Frequency electronic ballasts with 1000-1250W boost,
  • Works with any high frequency electronic 1000W fixture or ballast,
  • Top efficacy at 1150-1250W, and outperforming any other make and model even at 1000W,

  • Dimming range 600-1250W,
  • Only lamp that reaches over 2.2μmol/J and even more than 2.4μmol/J in the PAR Total range (350-800nm),
  • Highest share of Far-Red in the market, which has, together with red, has an equal or even greater effect on photosynthesis. The ratio R:FR = 6:1 (sunlight = 1:1, LED = between 20:1 and 10:1)

CREATE THE OPTIMAL LIGHT SURROUNDING

With the help of the Dimlux light calculator, it is possible to generate a perfect light plan by entering the correct dimensions, the light requirements and the type of fixture.

MORE LIGHT & LESS HEAT DEVELOPMENT

SBCS stands for single bounce clear sight. This means that the light can only hit the reflector 1 time before the light leaves the reflector. Also, the light can’t reflect back into the lamp. Result > more usable light and less heat development.

LESS NETTO LIGHT LOSS

Light that shines on paths or walls is a net loss of light. To compensate for light loss, the reflector is adjustable into 2 positions. An extra ADD-ON reflector can also be placed by which even less light gets lost. Result > less light loss.

LESS HEAT

The convection heat generated by the lamp rises in the reflector. The reflector contains 50mm opening through which the heat can escape. Result > an improved thermoregulation resulting in a better lamp temperature.

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE COOLED

The heat can escape from the reflector both passively (chimney effect) and actively. By active extraction with a ventilator at the 50mm opening, the room temperature can significantly be reduced. The heat is extracted at the source, which is more efficient than cooling. Result > limited heat development
