BETTER PERFORMANCES WITH OUR LIGHT HARDWARE
The DimLux electrical ballast belongs to a new generation of electrical ballasts (eb) that can arrange voltage. In this, the regular 230-240v of the contact box is converted to 400v, so better performing 400v lamps can be controlled. Thanks to the use of 400v Ultra High Frequency Technology (UHF), the PAR light output is enormously increased while the temperature is lowered during use.
As long as you adopt the optimal circumstances, this can result in a yield of even 10-20% more than you had before!
HORTICULTURE LAMP WITH THE HIGHEST PAR LIGHT OUTPUT
As to the lamp, the DimLux Expert Series has the highest PAR light output of all available horticulture lamps.
The Philips Greenpower 1000W 400v DE EL UHF, which is delivered with a DimLux Expert Series 1000WDE EL UHF system, is the most efficient available HPS lamp and registers 2.1 μmol per Watt. With this, the 600W lamp with an efficiency of ‘only’ 1.9 μmol per Watt is outdated.
SUNRISE AND SUNSET
To copy the natural habitat of plants as good as possible, the DimLux Maxi Controller offers the possibility to simulate sunrise and sunset. In this process, the connected DimLux Expert Light systems are slowly switched on and off.
Another disadvantage of switching from a cold to a warm room and vice versa is condensation. Water drops on plants can’t be absorbed, and evidently this is a (big) problem as botrytis (rotting) may develop. This can be prevented by simulating sunrise and sunset.
Plants do not make use of photosynthesis until a certain temperature is reached, if the lights are fully turned on after a dark period, this can be stressful and influence the growth. This can be prevented by simulating sunrise and sunset, and moreover, it saves energy.
